In this series Hugh Osgood explores how the local church can be an agent for community transformation by serving as a community within the community.
He looks at all six Old Testament accounts of the sons of the prophets at the time of Elijah and Elisha to make his point. 1 Kings 18:4 says, ‘while Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord… Obadiah had taken one hundred prophets and hidden them, fifty to a cave, and had fed them with bread and water.’
When they came out they certainly made a difference.
