As a ministry

The current phase of Hugh Osgood’s ministry has its roots in the forty-plus years of experience outlined in Hugh’s biography below. It brings together his national and international preaching ministry, his broadcast work and teaching materials, his input into local churches and leaders, and his extensive inter-church commitments. 

This new phase was launched as an independent ministry with its own charitable company, Charis Communications, in May 2007, with Cornerstone Production Services Ltd (the media company that Hugh co-founded in 1995) being taken over by Charis Communications in June 2007.  

While moving into this new phase Hugh has retained his role as Senior Minister of Cornerstone Christian Centre, but as from May 2007 carries this out unsalaried and has delegated the responsibility for the day-to-day running of the church.

He also continues, in an unsalaried capacity, as President of Churches in Communities International, the network for independent churches and ministries he founded in 1997. 

It has been an exciting decision to make as it gives him greater apostolic freedom. Our expectation is that this will benefit many, including the members of Cornerstone and CiC International. 

A major factor in structuring this new phase of ministry has been the willingness of Trevor Howard, Hugh’s long-time ministry associate to join him in this new venture. Trevor brings to the ministry a wealth of knowledge on administration, education and inter-faith relations.
