Two amazing months...

Spring into praying for us after two amazing months – February and March...

and more is due in April!

After the buzz of Hugh’s brilliant trip to Uganda (see report) February and March have been superb, but in very different ways.

Love London

Love-London-LogoHugh was invited by the Premier Media Group to act as Chair of the Love London initiative aiming to help churches in every one of London’s boroughs to show just how much the Christians and their churches are showing their love and the love of Christ to the capital. For more information on how you can pray, support and join in with this most exciting of projects in London visit  www.premier.org.uk/lovelondon.

Leaders’ Insight

Part of the Love London initiative, which centres on providing a backdrop against which churches can publicise their various evangelistic, social outreach and community-focussed initiatives, is to provide both church leaders and Christian leaders working in the secular world with leader-specific resources. Hugh was invited by Premier to provide and co-ordinate a number of programmes through Premier, the first, 'Leaders' Insight' is a half-hour programme of Hugh’s teaching on Saturdays at 2-2.30pm on air, also available for listen-again on-line to suit the busy lives of leaders.

February and March have also been months of recording interviews with key leaders in the capital on a wide-range of issues, which will be part of ‘Leading Edge’ a leaders-focused magazine-style programme which is due to be launched at 5.30pm on 18th April and will subsequently broadcast at 8pm.

Ministers’ Fellowship
HO lecturn TW1 web page
Hugh’s facilitating charity, Charis Communications, and the network of independent churches he oversees as President and Chair of Council, have hosted two ministers’ fellowships so far this year – in January and March – a wide range of ministers from ethnically and denominationally diverse backgrounds gathered for teaching, encouragement, fellowship and ministry - if you missed out on the teaching you can order by going to our Shop and if you missed out on the fellowship and personal ministry as a leader – come next time, on Wed 13th May. Tanzania

For several years pastors in Tanzania have been approaching Hugh, both on visits to Uganda and Kenya as well as in the UK, to hold a nationwide leadership conference with evening rallies in the capital, Dar es Salaam. Please pray for Hugh and Trevor as they travel there for the last weekend in March to line-up the major event later in the year. If you wish to give to support this trip you can still do so by going to website and following the links to donate. We still need to see another £1000 come in this week to cover the costs of this initial visit. You can also pray that all the key leaders we meet will be supportive and contribute to an exciting event in the Autumn.

Teaching Week

LAELwebcover---borderContinuing our aim of helping every Christian in every circumstance to ‘learn to live, learn to lead’, the next Teaching week will run from Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May. Sessions will be at 7.30pm on Fri 8.5.09, and then three on Saturday 11am, 2pm and 6.30pm, followed by Sunday morning at 10am and Sunday evening at 6.30pm. You are hereby invited to come for the whole conference, from Friday through to Sunday, to stay for the day with us on Saturday (buffet lunch will be provided, as well as light refreshments in the breaks).

Visit our website to find out how you can be involved, from just coming and being blessed through awesome worship and in-depth teaching by Hugh Osgood, through to stewarding, catering and helping with a creche for the young ones. If you want to help with the costs of the conference please donate on the 'Donations' page of the site and if you want to help out in any way please email contact@hughosgood.com

And finally...

As we send this out Hugh appeared as an expert witness in the inquiry on Kingway International Christian Centre’s appeal and both he and Pastor Matthew and all at KICC would appreciate your prayers and support as Hugh represented the endorsements of so many of the capital’s senior denominational and independent church leaders’ views that London needs to create the space for such mega-churches and their work to prosper alongside the equally vital work of community churches across the city in local communities.

Thank you

Thank you for your prayers for all that Hugh, Trevor and the rest of the team are involved in.

Please check the itinerary and pray as we go out across London, the UK and around the world.

Please consider giving to support our work, whether its a one-off donation or a regular standing order we would be really grateful and know that every penny you give will be well spent on helping churches, leaders and Christians in some of the worlds most deprived communities receive the best teaching and encouragement we can give, as we serve Christ together.

If you wish to give regularly please email us contact@hughosgood.com and we will send you the relevant forms, if you wish to make a one-off donation our bank account details are below or you can send your donation to us at the address below.
